Hey there, friends! Gather 'round for some exciting news: the NFL Draft is heading to Green Bay in 2025! How sweet is that? We're launching a fan art project to support three fantastic local charities. Our very own Green Bay artist, Zane Statz, will be painting fans likenesses and names on a massive 70ft by 6ft fence right across from Lambeau Field. If you grab a spot on the fence for yourself or a pal, every last dime goes directly to those incredible causes. Let's make some magic happen together, folks!

2020 Covid 19 Packers Fence

For the 2020 NFL football season, when very few fans were able to attend games, Zane created his first community driven fence. Fans purchased portraits of their likeness to be painted on the fence with three different levels of detail. The proceeds from this project were donated to a local Green Bay group that was helping families in need with Covid related complications. In total, 70 portraits were painted on this fence.

Frequently asked questions

What options do I have to participate?

There are three ways to be part of the mural on the fence:

1. $250 – Get your name, city, and team colors painted on the fence.

2. $600 – Get a black ink portrait of yourself painted on the fence.

3. $1,000 – Get a full-color portrait of yourself painted on the fence.

What do I get with my purchase?

With each spot purchased you will receive a digital photo of your spot(s) on the fence that will be suitable for sharing on social media. The illustrations and names will then be painted on the fence starting early-April (weather permitting). The fence will stay painted until mid-to-end August, 2025.

How big will my portrait or name be on the fence?

Final size of illustrations and names will depend on the final count for fans but the planned size is:

Illustrations: roughly 24" by 24"

Names: roughly 10" by 20"

How many fans will be on the fence?

We have a goal of raising $100,000 so however many fans it will take to make that happen! In a perfect world we would have at least one fan from each of the 32 NFL teams.

Where does the money go for each portrait purchase?

100% of your purchase goes directly to the three local charities mentioned. There is a processing fee on the GiveButter platform you make your purchase on. We would really appreciate it if you paid that 2.9% fee so we don’t have to take the money out of the donated amount to pay.

How is this project being funded?

At this time the project is being solely funded by artist Zane Statz but he is looking for social media partners to work with and help cover the costs. Email him at zane@zasdesigns.com to learn more.

Can anyone purchase a portrait?

YES! Our goal is to have at least one fan from each of the NFL’s 32 teams, everyone including pets is more than welcome.

Is this purchase a tax write off?

YES! Your donation is supporting GRIT920, Freedom House and 23’s Cleats 4 Kidz. In order to keep these funds free from being taxed and tax deductible for you, all funds will be sent to GRIT920. Once GRIT920 receives all the funds they will distribute the funds to Freedom House and 23’s Cleats 4 Kitz. Grit 920 is an exempt organization as described in Section 501(c)3 of the Internal Revenue Code; 88-2195149.

Artist & Founder, Green Bay Gives Back

In 2015, Zane began painting a yearly mural on a 70ft long fence on Lombardi Ave., across from Lambeau Field. He created a new fan-inspired mural at the start of each football season for eight years. In 2023, he launched a new mural project down the street where fans and community members can join in, using a paint-by-numbers method. This past season, around 500 fans completed the 70ft by 6ft mural in 9 hours. The Green Bay Gives Back project further involves the community by financially contributing to local charities, aiming to sell 100 portraits and raise $100,000 for the community.
